Piscine introduces itself as a Glasgow-based arts and culture project, printing and promoting new work coming from Scotland while supporting worthwhile underground scenes (the name, it says, is pronounced either 'Piss Scene' or 'pissin''). The editors write that they see Piscine not as a brand but as a medium through which artists can make and promote their work, and that it doesn't and cannot exist independently of the work it publishes. Each issue is accompanied by a comic, and the site credits a long list of named contributors.
