In the publisher's words, Linguaphile is a new independent magazine exploring the human side of language — not through grammar or theory but through people: their identities, their memories, their losses, and the words that hold their worlds together. The debut issue, Everything Left Unsaid, brings together writers, linguists, designers, photographers and communities across Asia to explore what happens when languages are marginalised, reclaimed or reinvented, through long-form essays, reportage and visual storytelling. It is published by Kuina Books 水鶏書房, an independent publisher committed to language, design and intercultural dialogue, and edited by Mābu Nauendorff, Alice Polaschek, Danielle Absin and Shana Ryan.
